For multiple generations, we've stood beside Swedish people facing hardship in the UK. What began as London-focused, community driven support has evolved into the Swedish Benevolent Trust. A modern UK-wide charity that has deep roots built on a simple promise: no Swede should face difficulty alone.
Whether it's sudden illness, job loss, relationship breakdown or the challenges of aging - we provide practical support when it matters most.
We provide compassionate, direct assistance for any person or family of Swedish origin who needs our help. Working alongside the Swedish Church's diaconal team to reach isolated or struggling individuals across the UK - no religious requirements and no strings attached.
Since the start we've been founded on the principle of community supporting community. A legacy that continues today through every gift of time and donation of money.
